    POWR Against Tobacco
Had an awesome time tabling at Carmel High School for the Great American Smokeout with our amazing partners at The Prevention Council of Putnam and Student Assistance Counselor Ashley! 💙

We had great conversations with students about the dangers of nicotine products and why today is the perfect day to make a plan to quit or to support someone you care about who’s trying to quit.

Students added stickers to the statements that applied to them:
• “Someone in my household uses a tobacco product”
• “My friend uses a tobacco product”
• “I know someone who quit using a tobacco product”
• “I quit using a tobacco product

As you can see, many students know someone currently using these dangerous products. 😔 Luckily, we had some New York State Quitline cards on us to ensure they know what resources are out there.
